Association Governance Committee

Purpose: to provide advice and direction to the Board of Directors on matters concerning the association's constitution and bylaws.

Sustainable Workforce Committee

Purpose: to review plans and results regarding labour market planning in the K-12 public education sector. The committee will use as the foundation for its work the eight component Public Education Sustainable Workforce Project model with an emphasis on component 7, the Integrated Recruitment portal, its metrics and reports and the two workforce planning components, the Jurisdictional Workforce Assessment (JWA) and district Strategic Workforce Plans. The committee will report to the Board on employment trends and initiates sponsored or undertaken by BCPSEA to support sectoral labour market planning.

Trustee & Board Engagement Committee

Purpose: Within the context of the BCPSEA Business Plan, develop strategies and initiatives for the Board to enhance the engagement level of school trustees.

Pension and Benefits Committee

Purpose: to review plans and emergent issues concerning sectoral pension and benefits matters.

Collective Bargaining Team*

Purpose: to review plans and emergent issues concerning collective bargaining in the sector. Further, the committee is responsible to make recommendations to the Board of Directors regarding negotiated compensation provisions for school district support staff.
