Productive Workplace Conversations Level 2
Interactions, Matters at Issue, and the Road to Resolution
Productive conversations are essential in daily interactions with others to help individuals get what they need. This course builds on the Productive Workplace Conversations Level 1 course and provides the foundational framework of a collaborative model for everyday interactions. The collaborative approach to resolution aims for agreements that respond to the needs of all people involved to the greatest degree possible.
Learning Outcomes/Goals
At the completion of this 1.5-day course, you will be able to use a collaborative process to move toward mutually satisfactory outcomes.
Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the benefits of a collaborative approach to resolution.
- Explain how content, process, and emotion all influence the resolution.
- Clarify and frame issues.
- Use communication skills to build understanding and momentum toward resolution.
- Distinguish between positions and interests.
- Identify and use interests of both parties as a basis for preparing for and conducting a collaborative intervention.
- Use the collaborative intervention model.

Registration
The fees include training materials, Day 2 lunch and breakfast, and refreshment breaks.
Space is limited, so please register early to avoid disappointment. Information on the cancellation policy is available online.
Please note that should there be insufficient enrollment to meet minimum requirements for a session, the workshop will be cancelled and registration fees will be refunded. An e-mail notification will be sent to registrants if the workshop is cancelled.
