Governance

The BCPSEA Constitution and Bylaws specify two types of governance events:

Annual General Meeting
The 18th Annual General Meeting of the British Columbia Public School Employers' Association was held on January 20-21, 2012 in Vancouver.

Activities at the Annual General Meeting included reports from the Chair and CEO; nomination and election of trustee directors to the Board of Directors; consideration of proposed ordinary and special resolutions submitted by school districts including proposed amendments to the bylaws, if any; and updates on current labour relations/human resource matters.

Representative Council
During years when collective bargaining is scheduled with the BC Teachers’ Federation, a Representative Council is held to discuss bargaining objectives. The Representative Council also approves the annual budget of the association.
