Attitudes and Approaches - Managing to Improve
This one day session introduces the guidelines and legal considerations required to successfully manage accommodation requests. The focus is on workplace absence and issues related to disability, including how to determine appropriate and acceptable modifications to enable employees to stay productive at work. Issues such as the duty to accommodate and the duty to inquire will be discussed. What medical information can the employer request? What is the difference between a recommendation and a medical limitation or restriction? What is an undue hardship?
